So one of our day jobs is teaching in a fantastic little school and today we are officially out for summer! We have had an inset day of tidying, sorting and discussions with colleagues about transition arrangements and passing on our knowledge of the brilliant children we are all welcoming next year. We've not been able to be out of our class 'bubbles' until today, so it was a rare chance for us to have face to face discussions, at a safe distance, rather than conference calling from our respective classrooms for our staff meetings and discussions. We are very much looking forward to being able work together again with the whole school after the rest during the summer holidays.
The teenagers are out on the trampoline, enjoying 'good light' for their insta snaps and are relieved that their 'home learning' stint is over and they can really enjoy the summer- different as it may be for them. The sunset is gorgeous tonight and we've been able to sit outside in the garden and catch up with email enquiries about booking 'Summer Play and Learn' sessions alongside the teenagers. At the time of writing there are only 3 spaces left on Wednesday 19th August. This is brilliant news!
